Form Bloodstock’s Jehan Malherbe struck early on the first day of trading yesterday at the 2017 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1.
Malherbe purchased lot 7, a daughter of the world’s premier sire Galileo for 200 000 guineas.
The filly, consigned for sale by Baroda and Colbinstown Studs, is a full-sister to G1 Criterium International hero Johannes Vermeer and to G2 Kilboy Estate Stakes heroine Elizabeth Browning.
Her dam, the winning Holy Roman Emperor mare Inca Princess, is out of G2 Ribblesdale Stakes winner Miletrian.
This is the family of dual Derby winner and top class sire and broodmare sire Shirley Heights, as well as King George winner and leading New Zealand sire Pentire.
